Was a room ever secured for the meeting? And are any UVM staff folk going
to be in attendance? (read: Mike and Jim, are you out there?) While I
don't think we need Internet connectivity for the key-signing portion of
the evening, it sure is nice to have for other discussions (not to mention
presentations like Nada's, last time), and without UVM staff, we're at a
loss for such connectivity.
We've not secured the room, AFAICT. Mike Austin had asked Aaron Hawley
to do this off-list, but there has been no response yet from Aaron.
I haven't heard anything from Aaron, so I filled out the request form
for 7PM tonight in Waterman 113-T. There isn't anything scheduled at
that time, so it should be OK (although it's doubtful that it will make
it into the reservation system by tonight since it is a same-day request.)
I figure we take over the mac lab anyways, and chalk it up to poor
planning. If there's already an event occuring in the room, then we
probably put up a redirection sign and go elsewhere.
I wouldn't recommend doing that unless you have at least 1 UVM affiliate
present. I will plan to be there tonight, with a new key (since my
current one expires in 2008...)
