Dear Brad,

This is simply a proof of concept / test. If it works out and these test systems work, then we'll move on to production and talk to vendors.

Not to worry. I do not doubt the right path will be followed, if you need help with this vendor qualification process let me know. Right now I am currently in a petulant frothing rage not about vendor qualification but about the situation in State hiring. E.G.

The DPS IT support person who is the star of this article, who wants to act as her own lawyer defending against embezzlement, is finally persuaded to accept a Public Defender as council. The PD negotiates her "Nolo Contendare" plea back back to a "Not Guilty", saving her from immediate incarceration. Here is the payoff...

The Judge releases her on the condition she ***turn in her passport***,
as she is a ***German National***!!!

Note I have nothing against embezzling foreign nationals, but I, an American citizen, have been dutifully applying for State positions for about 4 years without even so much as getting interviews, yet a foreign national, possibly a dishonest foreign national (apparently she purchased tickets for her and her daughter to visit the Fatherland on the DPS issued credit card...) is collecting a nice check every two weeks from the State of Vermont. Is it just me, or is there something rotten in this system?

...not that I am bitter...

Kindest Regards,

Flint
