Not related to Paul's rant as much as Grabowski's attempt to act as her own lawyer, Groklaw posted a link to a video on the 5th amendment, "Don’t talk to the police!" http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=8167533318153586646&hl=en I was really struck by his argument that nobody, not even the federal government can keep track of the current number of laws on the books, not even counting the fact that administrative regulations (such as IRS regulations) and foreign laws are incorporated in by reference. For example: Title 16, chapter 53, section 3372 states: It is unlawful for any person ... to possess any fish or wildlife taken, possessed, transported, or sold in violation of any law or regulation of any State or in violation of any foreign law or Indian tribal law That one paragraph incorporates the wildlife laws of EVERY other country in the world as well as all the Indian tribes. Anybody care to bet on the odds that somewhere it's illegal to own a pet cat? -- =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= René Churchill [EMAIL PROTECTED] Geek Two 802-244-7880 x527 Your Source for Local Information http://www.wherezit.com
