Are the USB ports running Ok under Ibex before you start VB? To see, use the command "lsusb". Unplug everything run lsusb, note results. Plug something usb in; lather, rinse, repeat....
There are all sorts of solutions involving Gutsy Gibbon--editing the/etc/init.d/mountdebsubfs.sh file. But mine doesn't look like the one they list.
I sync my Pilot on a serial port with no problem. Regards, Flint
