I recently got a 2-in-1 laptop with a detachable screen. I'd like to say
I upgraded from my old laptop, but the truth is I'm still mainly using
my ancient laptop.

I divided the SSD into two parts. One has Windows 8.1, the other has
Arch. I'm traditionally a Debian user, but I'm testing Arch because the
Arch wiki is great for dealing with trouble, and because it has
up-to-date packages.

My question:

What project has decent support for a touchscreen??? I've tried a bunch
of desktop environments and window managers, plus Ubuntu off a USB
stick. I don't want to be too hard on works-in-progress, but I need to
use something, and nothing is usable. Quite frankly, I think that
Windows 8.1 + virtual box is the best option, and I'm saying that as a
user who has been very happy with focus-follows-mouse in X for 20 years.

I'm hoping you guys will mention something I've missed :).
