Hmm, i know it is crap and even if it was true i will never believe it! I am an
eternal optimist, India will be safe one day and I am sure to see this happen
some day!!!! But what worries me the most is how and who will do it? I dont
have any answers to this questions!Well, i have been reading and watching about
the terror 24 x7, must have read most of the articles! How many of you know
that there was another boat full of terrorists had come to the Colaba harbour
after an hour of these incidents took place! Luckily, the alert citizens
shouted and sent them back! What would have happened to the state of Mumbai if
another batch would have been allowed to enter! I saw Kirit Somaya at a wedding
yesterday in Mulund, had seen him on the T.V earlier with Modi! I am not too
concerned whether he is totla or not but what really upsets me is why these
people want to take political mileage out of any situation. Modi came and told
on T.V that he had informed about the hijacking of a trawler from Gujarat long
back, Advani,Sonia and our P.M probably came here for the same reasons. If i
remember correctly it is because of this party the Babri Masjid was demolished
and we are seeing the effects of the same till date! I am not a supporter of
Congress either, Narsima Rao's Govt let this happen despite being at the
centre!!!H.V: Have a safe trip to Saudi and back!!Bye!!!

Nayan, I can assure you 100 per cent, that the cops killing theory is complete
CRAP! It happened in front of my colleagues...we will know. Those behind
Malegaon blasts are not invincible yaar. Again if the govt has the will there
too, they can also be brought to justice. Of all the grimn and sorrowful
stories i was reading in TOI (i am not reading any other newspaper, know some
of the reporters there and they are abso crap). I really liked reading Page 11
of today's edition. Great thoughts, fantastic anecdotes, written in class one
ENglish. Sample this: What is thicker than a bullet-proof vest? A politician's
hyde.
This snippet was about Kirit Somaiyya blabbering that govt was busy chasing
Hindu militants, that's this happened. He is totla to speak to, I have spoken
to him, in fact he lost his MP seat in 2004 largely (Congressmen say) because
of a story i did and was published on page one. He calls himself Killith. Why
doesn't he shut his mouth?
If you have time go through it. I am not reading the live stream,...so scared.
I can't even grieve aloud here. My colleagues didn't know it was my city which
was attacked as i always called it Bombay (which i will) to them and in the
news they had heard Mumbai.
I very gingerly opened TOI today and found that the death toll is 143. PAIN.

Phew, indeed very scary!Time to become proactive rather than reactive, we
always look for water after the fire has broken! You guys must write to the
government officers, press, the government and express your anguish towards
their inability, complete intelligence failure. This will surely put pressure
on them! Most of the people whom i am speaking with, affluent, common man,
intellectual etc, all of them are so negative about the entire thing. All of
them keep expressing that all these policemen, navy guards etc are so corrupt
that they can let anything happen to the country if they are paid! How could a
vessel/boat enter the Mumbai's coast line without anyone noticing it? Another
story going on here is that the three cops killing was a conspiracy, they were
killed at the behest of the politicians since Malegaon blast repurcussions
could have dragged them all! I just couldn't take these stories and I dont want
to believe this crap but why is everyone so negative, maybe there is a case of
me being prejudice!!!

I am watching CNN-IBN on Internet and have CNN running on TV and THIS IS SCARY
man .... The real situation is only now beginning to sink in , The gunshots,
stun grenades going off while the reporter is talking .... this is not an
incident .. like Nayan said .. this is war .. This situation will end ... I
pray sooner than later ... but we should not forget the lesson. Like Nayan said
.. I too would like to see some strong action being taken , short term and long
term. Maybe long term , we need a Israel style Kibutz system. We can blame
politicians and political will etc, but how are we going to put the will into
them ??? People talk about how resilient people of mumbai are blah blah ... is
that resilience hurting us more than it is helping us ... we move on and so do
our politicians. Should we all stop going to work, stop sending money to india,
empty our bank accounts until strong action is taken ???? or should we stall
the airport (bangkok style) ... There are elections coming ... maybe we should
boycott the elections. We have to do something to force the govy to take short
term and long term action As I write this ... commandos have fired a rocket
into Chabad House ..... God save us and save India ...

I changed the headline, it is not the Mumbai shootings, in fact a war. How else
would you justify battalions of NSG commando's flown from Delhi, Navy
commando's, IAF helicopters, Rapid action force personnels and around 800
police men manning the three important buildings! Well, Subu it is a very good
suggestion to start thinking about ways and means to prevent such a situation
in future!!! It is so very evident that resources are not at large for putting
things in perspective but what we lack is basic planning and a political will
to stop this!! I dont understand why is it so difficult to avert such
situations? I mean we have an example in front of us, U.S mein ek parinde ne
bhi per nahi mara after the 9/11, U.K has had no terror casualties after the
train blasts, remember they foiled the attempt of the indian born mujaideens at
Glasgow airport! Why cant we follow their foot steps, we do follow them for all
other things but why not for this! I keep hearing and reading the news that
there was a warning issued long time back about the porous sea borders and
Narendra Modi went on to add that he had already stated this long time back. I
mean what the hell are we doing, if these politicians know the possible threat
zones and they still want to sit and pass the buck I must say only GOD save
this country!!!! This is as good as knowing about the crime and keeping mum
which is punishable under the IPC! How can you just keep quiet?????? To my
mind, the first thing what should be done is to withdraw all the security men
from these politicians! All the politicians are so rich even officially that
they can afford to have their own security men! They can travel in their bullet
proof cars and wear bullet proof jackets if they are so concerned about their
safety! Why should public pay for their safety when they care a damn about
ours! Increase the salaries of all the police men, army, security agencies and
give them performance based bonuses! Every time they foil a plausible terrorist
attack they should be rewarded and if they fail in their attempt they should be
penalised and sacked if needed.Increase the force, give them the power, choose
the right candidates for the right spot and no politician will decide about
their appointment or their transfers. It should be decided by the judiciary,
high court judges preferrably. Invest in the technology, equipments and
instruments needed to prevent such attacks! Security cameras on each and every
street of all the cities, not alone railway stations or airports! Security
cameras inside the police stations and it should be connected to the local
cable operators, every citizen has the right to know whether the Policemen
whom we actually trust our lives upon discharge their duties efficiently or
not! Make them accountable at every stage, all court proceedings should be
aired live too! There should be a body of intellectual ppl formed above this
level whose job is to keep a tab on the daily proceedings and they must report
to the local news channels about the number of incidents that take place in
their jurisdiction.
If the politicians need resources to build this secured environment we are
ready to pay more taxes but if they fail they should be sacked instantly and
never be ever allowed to contest any elections!!!! The gist of the matter is
that make each and every public servant accountable at every level! I have no
doubt in my mind that if there is a strong will to set things right no one can
even think of even causing a scratch on us, forget about the terrorism!!!!!!!I
dont know how you guys have taken this episode, but i havent been able to sleep
that well! The first thing what comes to my mind is the death of the ATS chief
and i just cant imagine how could we let him die like this. He was such an
upright officer, engineer and an IPS officer to boot! The same holds true for
all the policemen who have laid their lives for this cause! Hats off to all of
them including all the commanders who are involved in flushing out the
terrorists! India has the potential to become the super power by 2015, forget
about 2025 but we got to wake up now and should not let this episode pass by
just like that. This is a big lesson to be learnt, biggest terrorist attack in
the indian history to date, i guess this shold be a good enough reason for us
to actually wake up!!!! JAGO INDIA JAGO before it is too late.
