Hi, Steve,

I think that a VASSAL-based version of AWAW would be great. The Warplanner
author has been promising an interactive version of the program for over a
year, but it hasn't seen the light of day yet. His original plans were for
it to be available about 9 months ago.

I know that you hang out on the AWAW email list, as well as over here. Have
you had a chance to post a similar note over there, yet?

BTW, I think that we could pretty quickly cobble together a module that
could be used to play AWAW, if we had a Pacific map. Check with Dennis
Jorgenson to see how he is coming along on the map for ERS, he's been
working on it for a good while. We could take the ERS map and easily adapt
it for AWAW. Combine it with a slightly modified version of the current A3R
map, and we are there. Of course, there are all those new AWAW units
(Chindits, etc.) that would need to be developed, but that is a lot less
work than is building a new map.

Just curious if anyone is working on an A World at War game for Vassal?

I play it all the time using warplanner which is the greatest as far as PBEM

or even solitaire due to space, but there are lots of interactions that need

the players to see each others moves so I was curious.
