Jim,

First up, create all your pieces in GamePiece pallette. This is by far the
easiest way to organise your module. Just define all your pieces in sensible
categories/menus so that they are easy to find. Later, you can hide the
pallette so that it does not appear.

There are two main ways to set up a Game Start file that is ready to go:

1. Define your pieces directly on the map using Decks and At-Start stacks.
Personally, I do not recommend this method except fr very simple modules. It is
inflexible and requires multiple copies of the same piece to be defined
seperately.

2. Create any decks you require as empty decks and define all of your pieces in
a Game Piece pallette. Pull out all of the pieces you require and place them on
the board where you want them. The do a Save Game and create a save game file
of the state of your board ready to play. You can the create a pre-defined
setup component and load you start file into the module.

Stacking behaviour is controlled in several places:

1. Overall stacking on the map is defined in te Stacking Options component of
the Map.

2. Game Piece Layers can be defined for the map that define mulriple layers of
stacking within any location, depending on attributes of the units.

3. Individual units can have a Do Not Stack attribute that has a Do Not Stack
option.

Regards,
Brent.
