G'day all,
I have a number of weapon sprites that I want to add to a miniature
piece. Layers appear to be the best way to achieve this. This way,
whenever someone wants to show that a weapon is readied on their hero,
they simply cycle through all the different layers until the correct
weapon is found.
My weapon sprites are of different sizes, hence the problem I have is
due to the offset of the layer trait. This offset affects every sprite
in the layer. Is it possible to add a feature in the future where each
layer level can have its very own offset?
To overcome this, I have created a layer for each weapon and then the
player can activate whichever weapon they want. This has lead to a
very large right click menu appearing.
The only other solution I can think of is to make the canvas of each
weapon sprite the same size and manually edit the sprites so that they
all have a common hand point. This would unfortunately lead to larger
filesizes as smaller sprites would need to be made larger to
accomplish this.
Does anyone have another method to solve this problem?
