Would anyone be interested in being able to add Preferences to a Module as a standard component?
At the moment, new Preferences can only be created and accessed via custom Java code. I envisage a component 'Preference Tab' that would be added below the 'Global Options' component. Adding a Preference Tab would create a new tab in the 'Edit Preferences' display. Under the 'Preference Tab' you could then add multiple 'Module Preferences', each of which would be named and be configured to be a String, String selection (from drop-down list), Integer or Boolean (tick box). The value of the preference would be available throughout the module as a Global Property. What's the difference between the existing Global Property's and a Module Preference? Global Property's are shared between players and saved in the Game file. All players see the Global Property as having a single value. Module preferences can have different values for different players and are saved locally on that players PC. Whenever they load a given module, the preference values for that module would be loaded also.
