I ran command line installing VM.  Tracing the record on notes taken down 
previously.  I found sometimes on March 12, 2010.

$ VBoxManage createvm --name clu910christ --ostype Linux --register

Sun VirtualBox Command Line Management Interface Version 3.1.4
(C) 2005-2010 Sun Microsystems, Inc.
All rights reserved.

I suppose the version will be 3.1.4
