Hi JD >Perhaps the reason why the modules are not loaded is because >they are not in a standard location ???? >Since I am not a Ubuntu user (I use Fedora), I have no idea >under which directory path the vbox modules should be placed >in /lib/modules/YourKernelVersion/..... so that the modules >are found and loaded via modprobe. It is the same on Ubuntu 9.10 $ ls /lib/modules/ 2.6.31-14-generic 2.6.31-19-generic 2.6.31-20-generic 2.6.31-21-generic I think the problem is on the version. There are several version. What can I do? Thanks >As far as Copy and Paste betweeen host and guest, I to have >NEVER beeen able to make that work, even after installing addons. It worked for me before, not necessary installing guest-addon. Just check [Bidirectional] I need "Copy and Paste" function. My temporary solution is to run; On Terminal-1 $ VBoxHeadless --startvm "vm-name" On Terminal-2 $ rdesktop host-ip:3389 rdesktop allows "Copy and Paste" crose VMs. But in doing so I face another problem. There are 2 mouse pointers on the screen, one of them without function. It is not easy for me to control. I can't move the pointer having function freely, not completely under my control. A side question, what version of Fedora are you running? As host or as guest? I can't install Fedora 12 on VM. It crashes. B.R.
