You make a VDI. You install your KNOPPIX to the VDI. Just like the VDI was a harddrive. Reboot. Install whatever package KNOPPIX calls the 'developer tools' and I install DKMS'. Connect the GA iso, mount it, and run the install script. It will compile the various drivers. When done you reboot and configure the video resolution.
