I installed the extension pack.

I am confused as to what you mean. I have my USB floppy connected. Where are 
the settings you refer to?

I have gone under ports from virtualbox and then USB. I enabled USB 2.0 and 
added a new filter.

But when I go into my guest os freedos under USB my floppy is greyed out?
