You're barking up the wrong tree as they say. Like I said, you don't
want to attach your floppy to the guest as a usb device, you want to
attach it as a plain floppy. What you want would probably be under the
storage tab of machine settings, but I don't use the GUI that much
with virtualbox, so I could be wrong. So, as far as doing what you
need to do from the command line goes, have a look at the VBoxManage
storagectl command, that's where you need to start.

I've told you pretty much all that I can. If it still doesn't make
sense, maybe someone else can explain it better.
