Hello Pablo, I get the error when I attempt to open the VirtualBox GUI. Either by clicking on an icon, or from the command line (i.e. running /bin/VirtualBox ).
The reported error occurs immediately upon execution of VirtualBox. The VirtualBox window never opens, so I am never able to start a vm. Here is my log file information as requested. Thank you, Jerry ............................................ 444 % pwd /home/jkemp/.VirtualBox 445 % ls -l total 22795 -rw-r--r-- 1 jkemp staff 1184 Sep 29 10:59 compreg.dat -rw------- 1 jkemp staff 21803993 Sep 29 11:01 core -rw------- 1 jkemp staff 483 Sep 29 11:01 VBoxSVC.log -rw------- 1 jkemp staff 483 Sep 29 10:59 VBoxSVC.log.1 -rw-r--r-- 1 jkemp staff 20031 Sep 29 10:59 xpti.dat 446 % cat VBoxSVC.log VirtualBox (XP)COM Server 4.1.2 r73507 solaris.amd64 (Aug 15 2011 14:14:51) release log 00:00:00.001 main Log opened 2011-09-29T16:01:55.298792000Z 00:00:00.001 main OS Product: SunOS 00:00:00.001 main OS Release: 5.11 00:00:00.001 main OS Version: oi_151a 00:00:00.001 main OS Service Pack: oi_151a 00:00:00.001 main Executable: /opt/VirtualBox/amd64/VBoxSVC 00:00:00.001 main Process ID: 20270 00:00:00.001 main Package type: SOLARIS_64BITS_GENERIC 447% On 09/29/11 10:32 AM, Pablo Sanchez wrote: > > Hi Jerry, > > I'd suggest you also include your VirtualBox .log and list out the > steps involved to trigger the issue. > > Is the issue caused when you start the main VBox window?
