Gregory, As far as I can tell from the log all looks normal, although I have to admin that I don't really know what I am looking for.
It did say that the vm was changing from reset mode to running mode and that it was booting off of the harddisk. I didn't see any errors reported. -----Original Message----- From: Gregory Nowak [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Thursday, October 20, 2011 11:21 PM To: Community mailing list of VirtualBox users Subject: Re: [VBox-users] virtualbox hostkey? -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 On Thu, Oct 20, 2011 at 05:22:02PM -0700, Don Raikes wrote: > I tried using the following command-line to start my xp vm but while a window > pops up, as far as I can tell nothing is happening in the vm. > > C:\ vboxmanage startvm xpobi --type gui > I don't see anything unusual in your showvminfo output. Did you look at the log file to see if you can spot a problem there? You don't need to specify that you want to use the GUI. VBoxManage startvm guest_name should be sufficient.
