I want to mention, IMO, that my experience with the Windows Clipboard viewer has not been dissatisfying. I really believe that you should not give a second thought concerning the capabilities of the Clipboard or the Clipbook viewer, Fernando. And, if you need a clipboard viewer on a Windows OS after XP, you could copy The Microsoft Windows NT Clipbook Viewer from XP to Windows 7 ("C:\Program Files (x86)\clipbrd.exe"). I use it on 64-bit Win 7. Afterwards, just make a shortcut and, if you like, a hotkey combination to invoke it or pin it to the Start Menu. This viewer lets you see whatever is on the Windows Clipboard as text or image, lets you save these images to permanent files in clp format, which you can later open again with the viewer or several other apps, and it lets you clear the contents of the clipboard immediately to free up memory.
"Perhaps" I have not challenged it sufficiently to test its breaking point, but I have never found it lacking and I do tend to play powerfully hard on my Windows OS, as much as anyone. If someone can show me a repeatable procedure to change my mind, I would consider re-evaluating its capabilities in comparison to the Linux equivalent; until such time, I am not about to say that it is inferior. Obviously, I can't speak for everyone's experience in this matter, but I have overseen a lot of usage by others, and I can say that I have never yet to encounter a case where the Clipboard failed to deliver. I would challenge anyone to show me otherwise. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Symantec Endpoint Protection 12 positioned as A LEADER in The Forrester Wave(TM): Endpoint Security, Q1 2013 and "remains a good choice" in the endpoint security space.
