For long-running VMs (Ubuntu and Debian) on Windows, I sometimes have
problems after a VirtualBox upgrade installing new guest additions.

I will get the warning about outdated guest additions and then select
"Devices => Install Guest Additions..." and nothing happens.

If the VB Guest Additions CD (VBGA) is mounted and visible in the VM I
can manually run the correct file and all is well. But before the
last upgrade (to 4.2.10) I had unmounted the VBGA CD and now cannot
see it.

I have tried remounting it to the VM while it is shutdown but, after
restart and login, it isn't there.

Any ideas?

Thanks and best regards,

-Tom
