If you still have problems you can mount it manually. Click on the install
guest additions like normal then:

# mount -t iso9660 /dev/sr0 /media

Change directory into /media and run the install manually. You can then
unmount it:

# umount /dev/sr0

But don't forget to change directory out of /media or mount will complain
about filesystem being in use.
