[...] It turned out, that no I hadn't and, of course, that sort of solved the problem. I had it in my mind that the guest additions were installed... but they were not. However, there is still some things I don't understand. I got to thinking more about this when I discovered my mistake and remembered that a while back, when it was the previous version of vbox. One of those same installs, the oldest one. Had originally had a screen res of something in the 1500 range... I don't recall exactly but know for certain that it was between 1500 & 1600 on the high end of the setting ... don't recall the low end now. The point is, it was even higher than the current 1440 x ???? So there must be ways to manipulate that setting. If one version of addons can show a different high end from the next... There must be something doing it. Maybe the video driver? Is that included in addons? Is it possible to manipulate those settings simply by adjusting xorg.conf? I will experiment but first will have to dig in enough to get a good idea of what is to be adjusted and even if xorg.conf is even respected anymore. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Start Your Social Network Today - Download eXo Platform Build your Enterprise Intranet with eXo Platform Software Java Based Open Source Intranet - Social, Extensible, Cloud Ready Get Started Now And Turn Your Intranet Into A Collaboration Platform http://p.sf.net/sfu/ExoPlatform _______________________________________________ VBox-users-community mailing list VBox-users-community@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/vbox-users-community _______________________________________________ Unsubscribe: mailto:vbox-users-community-requ...@lists.sourceforge.net?subject=unsubscribe
