For my Win7 guests on Archlinux, I just setvideomodehint and size the window the way I want it (I run the guests --headless off a server over the LAN) so the normal resizing over rdesktop isn't the same as if the guest was running on the local machine. You can try setting the mode directly to what you like with, e.g.: VBoxManage controlvm "Win732" setvideomodehint 1440 864 32 Just enter in a xterm and windows will resize. It can serve as a workaround until you have the problem resolved. -- David C.
