Hello everyone,

I decided to try out fedora linux distro, and first I tried it in
virtualbox.

Here is the issue I have.

When intel hd audio controller is selected, there is no sound in fedora
live-cd at all. As a result, I cannot use orca, a screen reader for linux,
to explore the live-cd or install fedora on a virtual machine.

I know that the issue could possibly be fixed by installing virtualbox guest
additions, but I don't know if it is true now because the source where I
read it wrote this information many years ago and I cannot check it by
myself due to the fact that the system isn't installed.

I created the issue on a public bug tracker with detailed steps to
reproduce, expected and actual result:

https://www.virtualbox.org/ticket/20617/

Note 1. When ICH AC97 controller is selected, the sound works, but it
crackles and plays only partially, so the user isn't available to interact
normally with the live-cd when orca is on and perform the installation or
exploring the system.

Note 2. This issue doesn't appear on any other linux distro I have tried:
Debian 11, slint, Debian 9.

I hope this issue can be fixed and blind users will be able to try fedora on
a virtual machine!

Thank you in advance!
