Hello Fernando, Thank you for your reply!
I can notice that in virtualbox 6.1.28 the audio works when installing fedora, but after updating packages it stops working. I checked that the pulseaudio works in live-cd, it is likely that pipwire starts working after updating the packages. I have also some thoughts that I need to install virtualbox guest addition first and then update packages. -- Best regards, Vsevolod <https://github.com/sevapopov2> https://github.com/sevapopov2 From: Fernando Cassia <fcas...@gmail.com> Sent: Sunday, October 17, 2021 9:48 PM To: Community mailing list of VirtualBox users <vbox-users-community@lists.sourceforge.net> Subject: Re: [VBox-users] No sound in fedora 34 live-cd with intel hd audio controller selected Thanks for your report! The current situation with regards to sound in Linux reminds me of the switch 10+ years ago from ALSA to Pulseaudio. Now many distros are switching from Pulseaudio to Pipewire and the same story repeats... I suggest you read this: https://hackaday.com/2021/06/23/pipewire-the-newest-audio-kid-on-the-linux-block/ And PipeWire: the new audio and video daemon in Fedora Linux 34 https://fedoramagazine.org/pipewire-the-new-audio-and-video-daemon-in-fedora-linux-34/ I hope its bugs are fixed soon...
