Hmmm, I looked at the FAQ (http://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/User_FAQ) and I
didn't see anything wrt to the OP's issue.  A possible work-around, ugly as
it may be, is to place all your critical files on a CD/DVD and mount the
CD/DVD from the Guest O/S and copy away.
