It is a known issue. Vista dropped support for the AMD PCnet card that is used by a number of x86 emulators/virtualizers (*insert MS conspiracy theory here*). However, AMD has made available a Vista-ready NDIS5 driver from their web site (or so I've read) so you can make an ISO with the driver on it and go from there. However, in a semi-related note, I installed Vista in a VirtualBox VM and I have no CD drive either. It's not in My Computer _or_ the Device Manager. So I'm stuck until I figure _that_ one out.
