(i apologize for the plethora of beginner-level msgs, but a fair bit
of the vbox documentation is ambiguous or seems just wrong in places,
so i'm trying to clarify.)

when i started with vbox, i installed an openSUSE 10.3 guest OS, at
which point my list of possible guest OSes to run included the entry
"suse103". so far, so good.

later, to test snapshots, i took a snapshot of that running system,
but what that seemed to do was *replace* the original entry for
suse103 with an entry labelled "suse103 (Snapshot 1)". yes, it's nice
that that's now an option, but where went my original "suse103"? now
that i have a snapshot, do i not have access to my original guest OS
as it was at the time of installation? that would be disappointing.
