Hello, Currently I am using VirtualBox and I have my guest operating system installed on a dynamical VDI file. When inside the guest the disk usage shows about 650mb, but the VDI file is close to 2GB (The image can expand up to 100GB). I no expert on virtualization and have only used virtualization products, such as virtual box, but this difference in sizes seems rather odd. Can anyone give me an insight on why this happens?
