Can you explain a little bit more in detail what does not work? What
happens if you try to execute

  sh /media/VBOXADDITIONS_1.6.2_31466/VBoxLinuxAdditions.run

as root from your Linux guest? Note that the installation procedure for
Solaris guests is a little bit different.
