By the above logic, no one should ever write de-installation software
either.  Otherwise people like yourself would reach faulty conclusions
about the quality of code installed.

All I asked is for you to cite references for your statement:

     There were a LOT of users in the forums and here asking how to
     downgrade ...

and I've yet to see anything supporting `a LOT'

I was hoping I'd learn about a technical `pothole' but that doesn't
seem to be the case.  Which mirrors my experience with VirtualBox:  a
rock solid piece of software.

As any complicated software, it has bugs.  The few bugs I've
encoutered are fixed timely.

As far as I'm concerened, this thread is dead.  I'm moving on ...
