Did you do anything special when you reinstalled Ubuntu? Like changes from the default setup? And is it just a standard Ubuntu Desktop 9.04? Does it make a difference whereabouts on the screen the mouse cursor is? Are you using a virtual desktop in the guest, that is, one in which you can scroll a larger desktop back and forth accross the physical (well, virtual in this case) screen? Have you tried other Linux and/or Ubuntu guest installations?
