sorry, i phrased that badly. it's not as if oracle would explicitly control the list, it's that if *i* was running oracle, i'd prefer that all that neat community-related activity related to vbox *stayed* within oracle. it might make no difference to oracle in the end, but it seems to be amazingly short-sighted of oracle to kill a mailing list that they now *know* will simply set up shop elsewhere, and not under the oracle umbrella. if you were responsible for a sizable company like that, would *you* be pleased that an admittedly small but active user community moved their activity elsewhere? *i* wouldn't. rday -- ======================================================================== Robert P.
