No, it doesn't. The binaries seem to be duplicated
there though - left behind somehow? The actual compile
directory is as you say  /home/vpopmail/bin

dpkg -S /usr/sbin/vchkpw, gives 
dpkg: /usr/sbin/vchkpw not found.

but it probably is a relic. Tried the Deb version
first ( which threw a spanner in the works ) before
going for the source install.
