So far the emphasis seems to have been on keeping a branch of the main project, and a branch for the debian packaging information.
However, for some packages, it might be better to have a module arranged like this: debian/ upstream/ Where upstream is a submodule that points to an upstream repo. This also keeps the debian changelog nicely away from the upstream one. Anyone experimented with this?
