You could always add another video card.

I remember in 1991 being in the computer lab at college and late at night,
taking the 8bit color video card out of a MacII and putting it into another
MacII that had more memory, just so that we could play a game in color.

Oh yea, don't forget that Mac's have perfect multiple monitor support and
have had that for AGES now...

I personally don't like the new Finder at all...the navigation is very
difficult to get around in. It is close to the NeXT navigation, but they
didn't implement it as cleanly as NeXT did...although, I do give Apple
credit because every OS update gets better in this regard...

You can't unless it is a 3rd party disk system which supports hotswap. I
assumed he meant that he shutdown his system first.
