Las directivas siempre comienzan con un #.  Igual que para las referencias,
el nombre de la directiva puede encerrase entre símbolos llave, { y
}.  Esto es útil para aquellas directivas que tengan texto
inmediatamente a continuación.  Por ejemplo, lo siguiente produce un
error:

 #if($a==1)true enough#elseno way!#end
  
En este caso, use las llaves para separar #else del resto de la
línea:
 
 #if($a==1)true enough#{else}no way!#end
