Say, any specific feature ideas you're thinking about? Often around here motivation comes down to an itch that needs scratching. Me, I've only had a few Velocity itches, one resulted in about 6 poorly written lines of code that Nathan polished and stuck into the VelocityLayoutServlet, another in some documentation updates, and I've done a few of the pretty pictures/logos.
