Title: Vessel size on ultrasound
Well, it can't always be the actual vessel size because you can adjust the depth from 2 to 4 cm and the vessel size obviously looks larger on the 2mm screen than on the 4 cm screen.  Great question - since on our model (180 I think) each "hash mark" represents 1/2 cm it would be easy to figure out.  Does the iLook have the same hash marks?  I have used it but can't remember.  Anyway, I am sure that on the shallower screens the vessel is magnified somewhat.  But I can turn it on and measure the distance between the hash marks and see which screen they are really 0.5cm apart.  That screen would be the closest to real vessel size I would hypothesize.  I'll test it tomorrow and let you know, but the rep should be able to tell you.

Subject: Vessel size on ultrasound

We've lost our Ilook ultrasound manual.  Does anyone know if the size of the vessel we see on the screen is the actual size of the vessel?  Thanks in advance!
