Ditto, me too, eager to see Sarah's new site!!! I truly appreciate
her hard work all these years. I think she has been around for at
least 10 years that I know of, maybe more. It has to be a labor of

Sarah did not say anything about charging members, simply that advertisers
would provide some funding in turn for banners ads etc. Sarah has spent many
hours, dollars and many years creating this first venous list group. Doug's
vascular group started a few years later. Doug, why did you create the
vascular group when there was already a venous group?
Sarah deserves at least our consideration in viewing the new set up and
determining the benefits. It seems appropriate to consider the joining of
the two groups. Doug, if you get no benefit from the vascular yahoogroup,
why would you not consider a merge? Sarah, you have always had our best
interests in mind and I for one support you 100%. I am excited to see what
you are creating.

Our list really is a non profit and I personally do not profit from
the list. We do not charge sponsorships etc. It is a free service to
nurses. Although our list has been a little less restrictive when it
comes to products and postings about products we do not wish to
dissolve our list at the request of those on the venous list. However
we are fully support of the venous list and find that both have been
extremely helpful to nurses. The fact that Venous is now going to
become a profit center I feel we need a site that does not charge for

Doug, you probably know I'm converting the venous list to a website. I
really don't want to compete with you and I'm hoping we can find some
kind of agreement. Would you consider closing your list and refer your
members to the website if I gave you a year's free advertising? I want
this site to be successful so that I can start similar websites for
other specialties. If I remember right you started "vascular" so that
you could advertise. Would you be interested in this?
