I was asked today to post these questions. Currently our adult side, 2.5 FTE, places about 120 - 150 picc/month. 350 - 400 beds. teaching hospital.
the question is, for teaching hospitals or facilities about the same size and with about the same # of picc per month, how many FTEs do you have? for the picc RNs, what other service do you provide beside bedside picc placements, data entry/management? currently the adult picc team is not able to keep track of the picc cath days.
