d50 via a PICC

How do  you give D50 via a PICC line?
We have the d50 put into a 50cc bag of D5W and run it as fast as possible via a pump.
Now pharmacy is telling us it needs to go into a 500cc bag in order not to change the osmolarity.
What are the rest of you doing out there. We need your input.
