I have a fair bit of experience moderating groups on Yahoo! Groups (I inherited
all these groups from other moderators and am stuck with them as the
communities that use them are unwilling to contemplate migrating to anything
better). I find the spam recognition features capricious. The file management
set up is annoying as well. I definitely would not recommend it for anything
other than a social group that just wants to have a convenient group email
system - and doesn't mind having the occasional member email labeled as spam
for no good reason at all.
