I stand corrected. I will continue to tie to fish, but I may be a bit more
diligent about it:)

Subject: [VFB] TYING FOR SWAPS

J Balmer said:

Sorry, being new to the group I erred in building flies to be fished,
particularly the Old Fart swap. I will be a bit more meticulous in the
future.

Some of us tie flies for fishing. Some tie flies to show their skill. Some
tie flies as pure art. Some tie flies as innovations. Some tie absolute
minimalist flies that are deadly fish catchers. ALL types are great for
swaps and are a delight to receive.

Keep tying flies that catch fish. since some of us like me who want to see
those so we can learn to be 'catchers' instead of just 'fishers'.

I commented on some of the flies that boggle my mind. I won't be tying any
of those - too small. Ad I definitely wont be fishing any of that type
(couldn't see to thread the eye!). However, I was tickled to get every fly
in the swap. In fact, I don't know of any swap that I've ever been in that
all of the flies taught me something.

I'm sorry, but your apology is not accepted, since there was nothing to
apologize for.

Allan
