Good hearing from you Allan!
I fished that same stream a couple of years ago when I was in lovely CO. 
That was in October and the Elk were a spectacular sight. I'll never forget 
the moment I heard noise in the trees and bushes along the stream, and the 
next thing I saw was one bull and three cows crossing the stream about 10 
yards in front of me.
