Your refering to Mr. Tom Schmucker(sp?), a VERY VERY nice man. He and his
wife Ann, took Misako and i out to lunch one time, after we had had "the tour"
of the Wapsi plant............plant for lack of a better word. The place is
amazing...........totally amazing. It's the biggest fly tyin' materials
operation in the world. Every tyer should take "the tour" at least once. You
learn a lot. And Tom and Ann are so sweet. Misako won the framed Green
Highlander that Tom tyed and donated for the Ladies Lunchen at Conclave here a
week ago.
Fishin' here IS unreal in terms of both cold and warm water species all in
one place.
All the Wapsi kids but one are in the business as well.....they were all
good friends of Charles Barton too.

Oh, and the guy who owns Wapsi. The reason he set up shop in Mt. Home
Arkansas, is that he took out a map, took a compass, and found a place in the
US that had within either a 50 or 100 mile radius (I forget the exact mileage)
that had THE best fishing in the US (in his opinion) and that turned out to be
Mountain Home. True story. Chuck

For those who were lucky enough to meet April Vokey at the recent FFF
Southern Council Conclave.....good for you. She was tyin' at the Mt. River Fly
Shop booth during Conclave and really impressed me with her Steelhead flies.
She's a real sweetheart as well. And a bit of a little celeb in terms of her
world wide appeal...........lmao. She's a way serious looker. More importantly,
she has an auction goin' on Facebook at her Fly Gals page. It's to benifit the
British Columbia (she's Canadian) Steelhead Society and it's a VERY important
cause. i'd just like to encourage ALL of you to do whatever you can for that
cause. If we don't, who will?
i'm bidding on an item and have also donated my website logo fly,
attached here. You can find out more bout April at,
http://www.flygal.ca or go to Facebook and type in Fly Gal Ventures and
then go to "Photos" and click there to see the auction and bid or donate, or
both. Tkx. guys. mark.....
