I agree with almost everything they say, but it all has to be qualified in an apples-to-apples comparison. Everything changes with flourocarbon tippets, only as far as underwater goes. Flourocarbon just disappears on a vertical plane, but shows up in a horizontal plane, and in varying degrees between those two. Any leader in the surface film looks like a rope. Not because of the line itself, but because of the surface tension of the water.
