Thanks for the fishing report Tony. Crooked Creek is a very attractive spot and looks very “fishy”. Strange the smallmouths weren’t taking the chili pepper. It seems you needed a small bluegill fly if there is such a fly. I have had similar situations with fish that I have hooked being taken by larger fish such as perch, pike and here in BC by bull trout. (char really – don’t know why we call them trout). It is always exciting when that happens.
