don't know how it is with the smell of head cement, but with anesthesia agents, if you can smell it, is 200 ppm or more. That's considered a no-no. Joyce

Xylol (a mixture of the meta and para Xylene isomers) can be smelled from 0.08 to 3.7 ppm according to WIkipedia (if you can believe them). I know it's a penetrating odor.

You can smell toluene at 4 ppm according to eco-usa.net (whoever they are).
