I just received a mallard and a teal duck..the meat of the breasts was taken out, but the head, legs and wings are still on the birds. I want to finish skinning them but have not dealt with ducks before. I question how best to get out the wing bones and meat while saving the feathers, is there a best way? Also how about the head..the bill is still on it as well. Do I slit it under the neck or from the top of the head and attempt to remove the skul with the bill? How about the legs..slit down the front and remove the feet? Inquiring minds would like to know how to best save every feather of these birds. When they are completely skinned, I'm planning to bury them in Borax for a time until the skin is all dried out. I await advice. Thanks. Joyce
