Same here. Hope that everyone gets well again for more years of fishing and life.
The last few years for me have been wrecked by surgeries and lack of funds, and the very long winters. Hopefully this year will see better weather, better health, and enough work to fund some trips. And hopefully we won’t have a summer-long camp-fire ban again. Woke up to 20°F this morning, 4” of new snow that blew away already, creating a wind chill of -2°F. Still snowing and blowing, too. Hard to believe that some are ‘enduring’ 80° temps. My fishing partner is going through the Chemo treatments for the past five years. Today it is perfect on the river. The river is smooth as glass, no wind and I can see fish rising. If I was able to get out I would have to have someone with me. I just can't get on the water. I have been off balance and shaking bad enough that would make fishing imposable. The day is perfect for being on the water no wind, mild temps, fish rising to the Caddis hatch and a light overcast. All I can do is sit by the window wishing I could be out there. The river is 52' from my back porch. I hope can get over this soon, I have lost two years of good fishing.
